Brinkmann Pro Series 2600 Gas Grill Review

The Brinkmann Pro Series 2600 is a four burner grill. Considering that the grill does have this number of burners, it is priced extremely reasonably at around $500. It also has a number of other features that are unusual to find on grills at or around this price. The grill has four cast iron burners which will give the users around 40,000 BTUs. Although cast iron burners may hold the heat well, there is also a tendency for cast iron to rust if it is not cared for in the proper way according to manufacturer’s instructions. Cast iron burners are good for even cooking and with this grill’s independent burner controls, you can indirectly grill on two burners and this is better for larger items of food.

The Brinkmann Pro Series 2600 has porcelain coasted cast iron cooking grates and a welded steel frame, with stainless steel doors and a drawer. The side table contains an ice chest with a drain and flip lid, although it is not ideally placed, as it takes up valuable preparation space. The grill has 550 square inches of total cooking space and an electric ignition.
The cooking space on this grill is of a fairly average size, suitable for a families use but not big enough to cater for a party. Although the grill has a welded stainless steel frame, the covers on the cast iron burners are not an ideal choice, as they could increase the risk of the burners rusting.

Although the grill is not bad for the price, it has several features of dubious value and you can’t help wondering whether it would have been better it the time had gone into making the parts more long lasting. If you shop around you could get this particular grill at considerably less than the usual recommended price. One of the main problems with this, and any other Brinkman grill, is that there is no real customer support, and as a consequence there is little or no comeback if things go wrong with the grill. Conversely, this is a decent machine with good heat control, ideal for grilling different things or for cooking larger items.

The Brinkmann Pro Series 2600 offers the market a high specification grill for a not unreasonable price.
