There are different models of the Char-Broil gas grill but the thing that they all have in common is the use of infra red technology to heat the grill. The makers of Char-Broil first introduced what has become known as red technology in 2008, the latest version of the Char-Broil gas grill is smaller than the original model that is designed for households that don’t have much room for a grill.

The Grill has two 10650 400 series stainless steel tubular burners and a total grilling area of 425 square inches. There is 21300 total BTU output from the two burners. The grill is designed to produce very high temperatures for a low BTU output.The grill gives a very high heat and it does it efficiently and it is certainly a very low price for an infrared design as this is probably the best method ever invented for cooking a medium rare steak. The grill has two burners and because it have virtually no extras, it takes up very little space. The cooking grates are made from cast iron with a heavy porcelain coating and an on knob electric battery operated igniter.

The preheating time for this grill can be quite slow and unfortunately its stainless steel construction is very low quality at 430. Some users have found that the cooking chamber through section is prone to malfunction and rust.

The latest offering from Char-Broil gas grills is a two burner grill that gives the user just three hundred square inches of grilling space for about $270.It has two fold down side tables which make it easier to store. However, all you get for this price is the two infra red burners; there is no side burner or additional extras although add-ons can be purchased on the market. Nevertheless the Char-Broil is a good grill for the price – the only real downside is that the infrared emitters have a very short lifespan and again, these can be replaced.
